Challenge #208

At the moment there are seriously not enough hours in the day.

Autumn = mad, crazy times around here.

I'm canning like a woman possessed, there's tomatoes everywhere! It's almost time to begin on the apple pie filling that my daughter loves and I am contractually required to put a years supply away for her or, apparently, I am out of the family.

We're madly scrambling to get things done around the place in time for a Permaculture group tour in May - one of the big projects was to properly fix up the kids old cubby that I've been using as a potting shed over the past year. By the end of the week it will have shelves and wall hooks and big windows and doors that closes. It will definitely be my garden happy spot.

We've got some cool Autumn festivals that I just have to go visit - today I was at Cloudehill an amazing garden that's part of the Diggers Club (heritage seed savers/garden club that I'm a member of) of course,  I couldn't help but buy a stac…

Weave - VIDEO

Here's the video for Weave Pattern:

I think the most important thing for this one is that, once you've got the base structure complete (step 3 in step-out instructions), that you continue to work in the same order i.e. strokes on all of the front grid, then work on the back grid, then repeat till happy with the result.
Here's one showing the pattern drawn freeform - this is a speed-draw video - 8x speed. It's done using the same base structure but without the dots. I also add on where I feel I need more, so it's not as methodical.

Have a great weekend!

Here's the new pattern mentioned in my previous post, Scribble Daisies A couple of notes:
A dot grid helps to keep it straight/regulated if that's the look you want. Note 1: shows the initial strokes done in a different order. Note 2: keep adding more lines to fill if you want - really changes the pattern appearance.
Here's a couple of freeform versions: I'm currently working on a video for this one :)
Have fun! hx

Scribble Daisies and paper scrolls

Playing around with some scribble daisies and patterned paper scrolls. Fun :) The smaller paper scroll uses a new pattern "Weave" (instructions to come soon - things are pretty busy around here right now). The tomatoes have started coming in volume now so I have begun the preserving process - this will consume a lot of my time over the next month or two.

I've also updated my VIDEO page to a single media player - you can access all the videos via the dropdown playlist menu. - and also subscribe to my channel directly from this page. Any bookmarks to the old videos page will still work, it's still there, just hidden :)

Have a great week!  hx
