String Gourd with Peas

Sounds like something for dinner doesn't it? This was drawn on Procreate. I started with a string framework to create the gourd shape, coloured with my fave colour (green in case you are wondering :) and then filled and added some "peas".
It's now sitting happily in my Digital Tangle Journal with a few notes on brushes, etc. I love having a place to store my digital drawings as a group rather than random files on my computer or ipad.

Hope you're having a great week!

  1. Stunning and absolutely gorgeous, Helen. You have such a wonderful style. Love your colouring and the brilliantly-smooth highlighting. A little Procreate tuturial on this one would be SO good if you ever get time. Hope the renos are progressing smoothly.

    1. Hi Robby :) Thank you! I've had a few requests for a tutorial. I will have to see how I go with that :) Reno is waiting for the next stage. We're doing it when time and weather permits - so slow progress. Once the wall is taken out we will have to put the pedal down though as we can only live for so long like that! h

  2. Helen, there is no limit to what you are able to do with a tangle like gourdgeous and all results I've seen are absolutely stunning - just like this one. I particularly love the little details of the caught strings.

    1. Thanks, Chrissie :) It's a lot easier to get a good result with the shading on digital. Less messy, too! h
