Sneak peek at something new........COMING SOON!

I am excited to share some news with you - very soon I'm going to have two digital journals available for sale on A Little Lime.

I've been working on this project on and off for some time, not only creating the customisable journals to sell, but also experimenting and drawing in my own digital journals. It's been fun.

The journals have actually been ready for a while now but for some reason I succumbed to a bit of self-doubt. This is so different from what I've done before. Was it right? Would people like it? etc. etc. Meh. I can't believe that I allowed myself to be stalled by this because that is just really not me. Well, whatever the reason, I'm over it.

You know what I find so exciting in life? It is learning. I want to be challenged. I thrive on trying new things and moving in new directions. This keeps my interest, and the ideas and artwork fresh. I stay excited about creating and sharing the results because it is an ongoing adventure. Life is too short to be bored, right?

So why digital tangling? To be honest, it wasn't my first choice, I love my pen and paper, but I started doing more of this earlier in the year when a chronic shoulder issue meant that in order to avoid surgery I had to permanently change how I did things - I could no longer sit at a desk for long periods of time drawing or working on the computer (yep, I was guilty of doing 8+ hour drawing stints for days in a row - particularly when John was away for work). I now have to do short drawing shifts........standing, work on my computer........standing, do shoulder exercises everyday and generally be much more active in a variety of ways. After some setbacks I found that if I split my drawing time between traditional and digital methods as I used different posture/muscles for each I could do more of it without hurting myself. Now approximately half of my drawings are created digitally and, well.......I love it, it's an exciting new frontier for me and so fantastically portable!

Of course then I wanted to take it a bit further and put my graphic design skills to work to create tools that helped me showcase and organise my artwork, tangles, etc. with the Digital Journals as a result.

So, here it is........a peek at the cover of one of my new journals - it features my favourite Compass Daisies:

Right now I am working on a set of how-to videos so that they can be launched at the same time that the journals go up for sale.

So I hope you will keep your eyes out for more information as they will be available for purchase very soon :)

Have a wonderful day :)
