It is hard to decide, but I think overall I prefer the coloured version. Very frosty. I have been looking at this pattern just lately and have it on the back burner to try.

Hi - I just checked out both patterns - Frost Flower is by Karry Heun and Revolution by Sandra Chatelain and there's not a lot of difference in the finished result - just the circle int he middle of Revolution as you've pointed out. The main variation is in the structure build. Frost Flower begins with the 6 spokes and Revolution is built from the centre circle.There are so many patterns that are similar and often the only significant difference is in the steps taken by the artist to draw them. I don't know if this is much help to you, but that's my thoughts on it :)Helen
